The Public Prosecution issued an arrest warrant for the Minister of Finance on charges of damaging public funds and abusing power




On Thursday, the Qatari Public Prosecution announced the arrest of the Minister of Finance, Ali Sharif Al-Emadi, as part of charges related to  damaging public money  

The prosecution said, in a statement, that “after reviewing the papers and the reports attached to them, the Public Prosecutor ordered the arrest of Minister of Finance Ali Sharif Al-Emadi, and asked him about the reports of crimes related to the public office and about the payment of millions of dollars to liberate elements of the Revolutionary Guard and fund groups. 

Terrorist in Syria, Iraq and Libya. The Qatari prosecutor also clarified that the crimes consisted of harming public funds, exploiting jobs, and abusing authority.

 She added that the Public Prosecutor had ordered the opening of extensive investigations into the crimes raised with the submitted papers.
